This comic is a load of junk. (Triple Feature)

I know I said late February, but I got impatient.  You know the Avengers? They're pretty cool, they were created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby back in 1963, what exactly do the Avengers avenge? Absolutely fucking nothing, it's just an awesome name. Google says, "They avenge what has happened to earth", sure, if they say so. The Avengers are almost perfect, but there is one big problem... THEY'RE IN NEW YORK! They need to be in ALL OF THE US. That's why the West Coast Avengers were created, so they had someone to defend and "avenge" the west coast... And then there's the Young Avengers... And the New Avengers... And the Great Lakes Avengers... And the Dark Avengers- Let's just move on. The original West Coast Avengers team was created as an expansion of the New York Avengers, and the members of the old team were Hawkeye, Mockingbird, War Machine, Wonder Man, Tigra, Iron Man, The Thing, Hank Pym, and other guys. Oh, hey, the Wasp was there, she...

OLD NEWS BUT I'M ACTING LIKE THEY JUST HAPPENED

I have nothing to talk about, so I'm gonna report on news that happened YEARS or even DECADES ago. WORLD AND OTHER STUFF NEWS: - Brazil and South Korea have both impeached their presidents. I'm Mexican so this doesn't really affect me. I'm also too stupid to know if this was good or bad. - Britain has voted to leave the European Union. Read the comment I made above. - There has been a virus outbreak in Wuhan, China. Scientists have given this virus the name of COVID-19, but everyone calls it "The Corona Virus". The symptoms include: Coughing, sneezing, a big fever and the need to travel around the fucking world and spread your yucky diseases. - the "Minecraft" movie trailer just released, Jack Black is playing Steve, and CGI will do the rest. - Kendrick Lamar has just released a diss track on rapper Drake, the song is titled "Not Like Us" and it is actually really good.  - Sabrina Carpenter has won a few awards at the MTV Video Music Awards...

4 Random Issues of the Fantastic Four.

Image
You know the Fantastic Four? I know I do; they're the guys in the cover of Amazing Spider-Man #1 I could be an ass and just link you to a Wikipedia article but I'm gonna be nice and kind and tell you the story behind their creation.  Stan Lee thought that the comic book industry had become too restrictive, and it was, there were parents that were worried about exposing their kids to monster and horror comics, some guy thought comics were worse than Hitler, some thought Batman & Robin were gay... And that caused the formation of the Comics Code Authority (Now defunct). Stan said, "Screw that, I'm writing the type of story that I wanna read." and he came up with a team of characters that were super heroic but still normal humans on the inside. Jack Kirby said it was HIS idea; he came up with the FF and- this is too complicated. Anyway, the Fantastic Four premiered with issue 1 back in June of 1961, and this is where the modern Marvel Universe began, after this, ...

PREQUEL POST. JEFF THE LAND SHARK RETROSPECTIVE

Image
Today I'm looking at Jeff The Land Shark's Infinity Comics, which are titled... "It's Jeff", this is a prequel post for an upcoming review of the first whatever issues of the West Coast Avengers from 2019. These don't have covers to analyze but fuck that, I'm looking at the thumbnail on the Marvel website.  Look at him, he's got swimming goggles... Even though he's a shark. He's got a floatie donut thing (NEVER BEEN TO A WATERPARK OR A PUBLIC SWIMMING POOL IN MY LIFE) and it's got a little design with Deadpool and Gwenpool faces.... Who the fuck is making this? Gwen is a wanted criminal in this universe, why are they making swimming gear with her logo- Nevermind, I just remembered people make Donald Trump (known felon) merchandise in real life.  Time for the plot synopsis. This issue was written by Kelly Thompson and drawn by G Gurihiru, who also drew that Unstoppable Wasp series I like so much. Well, this is the issue where all the superhe...

All I have to do is enter my information into this program!  - Donald Trump has just announced that he has plans to rename the Gulf of Mexico to Gulf of America... Pretty sure he can't do that. - In an amusing twist, Claudia Sheinbaum has announced that she has plans to rename the United States of America to "America Mexicana", sounds pretty, I think our president Claudia is up to something here. The Amazing Spider-Man Vs. A Building (REVIEW)

Image
Once upon a time, Little Edward was walking around town looking at the yard sales, when he saw a guy selling comic books, what he found was a Trade Paperback at an affordable price, The Amazing Spider-Man: Coming Home, by J. Michael Straczynski and John Romita Jr. I had to talk about myself in the third person. Well, it's one year later, and I am looking for a comic mini-series or storyline to review, and I remember that I own this comic. Neato. Welcome to the big review series of 2025. I'm gonna be looking at The Amazing Spider-Man issues 30-35, from when the series relaunched in 1999.  Let me give you a little background. Spider-Man was created in 1962 by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko for Amazing Fantasy #15. Cool. Spidey then got his new comic series titled "The Amazing Spider-Man" and it was a huge hit. Cool. flash forward to the 90's and Spidey's dealing with clones and a lot of confusing mumbo jumbo. Not cool. and to top it all off, Marvel has gone bankrupt.....

The Big Revelations of the 12 Days of Eddiemas

I have a lot to reveal, and I have a lot to address, some pretty serious allegations here. And I believe the right thing to do is come clean about those things and tell the truth about what's been going on with me and what's been going on with the site. I can't wait to finally cut the shit and get this over with so let's do exactly that. These are the Big Revelations of the 12 Days of Eddiemas. A big compilation of confessions, revelations, announcements and addressing the controversial allegations and rumors that are being made about me as a person.  "YOU DELETED A TWEET ONCE"  Yeah, I did. Sometimes I just don't wanna see a specific post in my profile anymore. But then I also get Tweet Deleter's Remorse and try to find an archive of the tweet, but there is no archive, there is only sadness. TL:DR, fucking idiot doesn't understand that once you delete a post and there's no archive, it's gone, no return.  "Eddie, fucking piece of shit,...

DAY 11 of the 12 Days Of Eddiemas.

Well, I'm officially out of ideas. I might as well tell you guys about how I got into superheroes and how I got into comics. This is my contingency plan.  Waaaaaayyy back in probably 2007, I was born. I'm not gonna tell you my life story, just wanna let you know how young I am. Well, according to my family members, the first superhero I ever saw was Superman, but I must've erased him from my memory because the first superhero I remember liking was... You know who. That's another point for the house of ideas.  All the way back in some year, we had a Blockbuster next to a Carl's Jr near my house, that place is dead now but the memories I have with that place live on. Anyway, my dad picked a movie for me to watch, he was gonna pick the 1992 movie Cool World, but that movie is shit, so he picked the next best thing, a little movie called Spider-Man. After that, we watched Spider-Man 2, and it just kept getting better! Then I found out there was a SPIDER-MAN 3! Woah, the...

12 Days Of Eddiemas (DAY 10): Secrets That Marvel Hides From Us.

I recently acquired a secret internal document from the Marvel offices in New York, and in this document, there are several secrets about the company, secrets about the writers, and secrets about the Marvel Universe that were hidden for over 80 years. I shall now uncover 5 of these secrets. First off, the secret to why Marvel allows Sony to make these horrible movies based on characters related to Spider-Man. Well, you see, if Marvel themselves don't care about the characters, then why should they care if they appear in a horrible movie? Think about it. Did they care about Kraven? Did they care about Morbius? Did they care about Madame Web? NO! They didn't, no one even remembers the last time they appeared in a comic. The only one they seem to care about is Venom. And speaking of Venom, let's talk about the origin of his character, believe it or not, the concept of an alien costume that bonds to people didn't JUST come from the sick and twisted mind of Jim Shooter or wh...

Damn you... (DAY 9 of the 12 Days of Eddiemas.)

Image
I promised a game review, I shall give you a game review, today I'm looking at Spider-Man: Return of the Sinister Six.  This game was inspired by the storyline titled... Return of The Sinister Six. Believe it or not, this was the only Spider-Man game on the Nintendo Entertainment System. And it wasn't very well received. It was also made by LJN, wow, that's cool, I love the Angry Video Game Nerd. This game fucking sucks, dude. First off, the graphics are... Actually, not bad, but sometimes you can't tell when an object isn't in the background, and sometimes you cannot tell when there's a bomb on the floor.  The gameplay, though... Spider-Man can run, crawl walls, and jump, seems simple enough, but the problem here are his attacks, he can punch, and he can kick, but it never feels like his attacks actually HIT something, and that can kinda become a problem. Also, web swinging sucks in this game, so you won't find yourself doing it very often. Sucks for a Spid...

SPIDER-PLUSH HYPE 3. (Day 8 of the 12 Days of Eddiemas)

Image
Well, it's 2025. I'm turning 18 this year, I plan on getting a job, going to college, so that might mean I won't have time to be a blog writer anymore. Aw, who am I kidding, I'm probably gonna monetize this blog. Well, y'know, instead of thinking about the future of ME, let's think about the future of the blog. Happy New Year, by the way. JANUARY'S BIG POSTS: The Amazing Spider-Man (vol. 2) Issues 30-31. This is 2025's big review series, issues 31 to 35 of The Amazing Spider-Man after the 1999 Relaunch, this is also the first arc written by writer J. Michael Straczynski, a very critically acclaimed writer. Also, if I have time, I might make a new Evil Spider-Man issue. FEBRUARY: Well, this will be the start of the slightly less big review series, where I look at the first 11 appearances of Spider-Man.  MARCH:  I don't have any plans other than reviewing issues 32 and 33 of ASM vol. 2.  APRIL:  The big finale of that ASM review series. AND A BIRTHDAY ...
