OLD NEWS BUT I'M ACTING LIKE THEY JUST HAPPENED

I have nothing to talk about, so I'm gonna report on news that happened YEARS or even DECADES ago.

WORLD AND OTHER STUFF NEWS:

- Brazil and South Korea have both impeached their presidents. I'm Mexican so this doesn't really affect me. I'm also too stupid to know if this was good or bad.

- Britain has voted to leave the European Union. Read the comment I made above.

- There has been a virus outbreak in Wuhan, China. Scientists have given this virus the name of COVID-19, but everyone calls it "The Corona Virus". The symptoms include: Coughing, sneezing, a big fever and the need to travel around the fucking world and spread your yucky diseases.

- the "Minecraft" movie trailer just released, Jack Black is playing Steve, and CGI will do the rest.

- Kendrick Lamar has just released a diss track on rapper Drake, the song is titled "Not Like Us" and it is actually really good. 

- Sabrina Carpenter has won a few awards at the MTV Video Music Awards. I listened to 30 seconds of one song, and I didn't like it.

- Nintendo has released a little novelty, the Nintendo Entertainment System Classic Edition. A tiny version of the old system with 30 built in games! In preparation for release, Nintendo has made all of 2 WHOLE CONSOLES! Wow, that's more than ONE.

SPIDER-MAN (& MARVEL) NEWS

- This new game called Marvel Rivals was just announced, which is sure to be forgotten after a week of release, and it will go down in history as just another crappy Marvel game. Though I think they should add the Fantastic Four and H.E.R.B.I.E., they would make a good addition to the game.

- Marvel has released issue 509 of the Amazing Spider-Man, part of a new storyline titled "Sins Past", and it's actually kind of interesting! I cannot wait to see where this goes and how the story ends! I bet it's gonna be a real banger of a comic. Man, JMS does NOT miss, if this is issue 509, imagine how the book is gonna look in the next 35 issues!

- A big announcement has been made at SDCC this year, the return of Robert Downey Jr. to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but with a twist! RDJ is playing Dr. Doom- wait what?

- A new Spider-Man show was just announced! It's called "Spider-Man: Freshman Year", the lucky dude playing him is Hudson Thames, who I'm sure is a nice fellow that will never get in any kind of controversy whatsoever.

- Bad news folks, Marvel has decided to cancel 2 of their comic titles, that's right, they cancelled the Luke Cage comic series, and they also decided to cancel their Unbelievable Gwenpool series. I guess Gwen is now just gonna live as a member of the Great Lakes Avengers, and we will never see her again.

- HORRIBLE news, Sam Raimi has announced that he will no longer be directing Spider-Man 4. The series is slated for a reboot that is set to release in theaters on July of 2012. What a shame.

- EVEN WORSE NEWS: The Spectacular Spider-Man has been cancelled following Disney's purchase of Marvel, leaving the series on a cliffhanger. A new show about the Ultimate Spider-Man comics is set to release on late 2011.

And how do I respond to this? It's all a social experiment; it'll all make sense in the end. Stay tuned for an upcoming post about the situation.

- I have made the tough decision of leaving Daily Spider-Figures, there's no bad blood between us admins... I hope, but this account was just a pain in my ass. I was their least valuable admin.

- Oh my gosh guys, I am about to watch this movie called Cool World, it looks so cool!

Reviewing things I haven't seen!

That new Spider-Man TV show just came out, but I don't have Disney+, everyone's talking about it and I don't want to be an outcast, so I'm gonna do the ballsiest thing ever, I'm gonna lose my credibility as a reviewer! I bet the other review sites are gonna be so proud of me... Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, written by Jeff Trammel and directed by Mel Zwyer, a show inspired by the comic book titled "Spider-Man", and also a little bit inspired by the MCU films featuring "Spider-Man", it was announced somewhere around 2022, and the first 2 episodes were released yesterday. Man, I remember when we thought the show was NEVER coming out.  First of all, the intro features a rap song that samples the 1967 Spider-Man theme song. The End of Gwenpool Strikes Back. (Review)

It's finally time to finish this comic. Believe it or not, i didn't know this comic only had 5 issues until i bought them all on the Marvel Comics App before it died (I still won't forgive them), all this time I thought the other issues were just not on the app, then I looked at the website and nope, 5 issues, this really was the end for Gwenpool, sure, she had guest appearances every now and then, but this was her last comic that was actually about her... Or at least until Love Unlimited issues #43-48 (2023) dropped. Since this is the end of an era, i shall now point out many things i missed and things that i should've brought up in the past reviews. ISSUE 1. On page 26, Gwen kindly asks the readers to go back to page 19, which could mean that either the comic thinks that the readers have some sort of short-term memory loss, or it could mean that the comic wants us to read in an endless loop until we either go insane or die.
