Avengers: Disappointed (Review)

Image
This is AVENGERS 500! The beginning of a big storyline called "Disassembled". It looks promising enough. I only know about this story because of 2 different things. 1 is that I opened a Linkara video a few days ago, he was reviewing this comic, and he was like "OMG THIS COMIC SUCKS AAAA". Which is how all of his videos go nowadays, c'mon, cheer up. 2nd is the Spectacular Spider-Man storyline called "Changes", because it was somehow tied to this event.  AVENGERS: DISASSEMBLED. By Brian Michael Bendis and David Finch. How bad could this be?  First off, this storyline had a lot of tie-ins across various titles. Here is the list: - Iron Man. He does... Uhm... No clue - Thor. He fights Ragnarok. - Captain America. No clue. But Falcon was there - Fantastic Four. They fight the FRIGTFUL four- - The Spectacular Spider-Man. We'll get to this later. Right now, it's time to look at part 1 of CHAOS.  The cover looks okay, the Avengers are all rushing into ...

The West Coast Avengers vs. ME! (Triple Feature)

Remember the West Coast Avengers? Wow, weren't they great? They were just like McDonalds; they're alright and sometimes kinda shitty.  LAST TIME: Kate was looking for someone for her superhero team that ISN'T the WCA, she found Gwen Poole, ok, then they went back home, and Quentin Quire joined the team with his trusty ol' camera crew, and then they fought Tigra. And after that they found a guy named Bronkey Kong or whatever his name was, and it's MODOK in disguise but they took him home anyways because I don't remember, and then Kate and Clint went to a lab, and then they heard a sound, and then Quentin kissed Gwen, and then I forgot what else happened, but the review was over and I reviewed Young Avengers Presents (aka YAP) #6. All in a day's work. Dude, I felt like a stupid little kid explaining a movie to his parents. But I'm gonna feel like an unprofessional comic book critic when I review issues 3 and 4 of WCA (2018). by Kelly Thompson and Stefano C...

This comic is a load of junk. (Triple Feature)

I know I said late February, but I got impatient.  You know the Avengers? They're pretty cool, they were created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby back in 1963, what exactly do the Avengers avenge? Absolutely fucking nothing, it's just an awesome name. Google says, "They avenge what has happened to earth", sure, if they say so. The Avengers are almost perfect, but there is one big problem... THEY'RE IN NEW YORK! They need to be in ALL OF THE US. That's why the West Coast Avengers were created, so they had someone to defend and "avenge" the west coast... And then there's the Young Avengers... And the New Avengers... And the Great Lakes Avengers... And the Dark Avengers- Let's just move on. The original West Coast Avengers team was created as an expansion of the New York Avengers, and the members of the old team were Hawkeye, Mockingbird, War Machine, Wonder Man, Tigra, Iron Man, The Thing, Hank Pym, and other guys. Oh, hey, the Wasp was there, she...

PREQUEL POST. JEFF THE LAND SHARK RETROSPECTIVE

Image
Today I'm looking at Jeff The Land Shark's Infinity Comics, which are titled... "It's Jeff", this is a prequel post for an upcoming review of the first whatever issues of the West Coast Avengers from 2019. These don't have covers to analyze but fuck that, I'm looking at the thumbnail on the Marvel website.  Look at him, he's got swimming goggles... Even though he's a shark. He's got a floatie donut thing (NEVER BEEN TO A WATERPARK OR A PUBLIC SWIMMING POOL IN MY LIFE) and it's got a little design with Deadpool and Gwenpool faces.... Who the fuck is making this? Gwen is a wanted criminal in this universe, why are they making swimming gear with her logo- Nevermind, I just remembered people make Donald Trump (known felon) merchandise in real life.  Time for the plot synopsis. This issue was written by Kelly Thompson and drawn by G Gurihiru, who also drew that Unstoppable Wasp series I like so much. Well, this is the issue where all the superhe...
