Bad Guys Finish First.

This is the uncensored version. For the censored cut without all the swearing and the mentions of sex, click here. There are only 4 certainties in life: Death, taxes, Burger King messing up my damn order and having a Spider-Man review site look at Sins Past. You've seen everyone's reviews, you've seen everyone making fun of it (including Marvel themselves) and you even lived long enough to see it get retconned (Thanks, Nick Spencer). The story has it that in 2004, J. Michael Straczynski wanted to write a story about Gwen Stacy and Peter Parker's secret children that eventually tried to kill Peter... Odd, but okay. This is where Marvel's then editor-in-chief Joe Quesada comes in... So, Joe tells JMS that making Spider-Man have children would make the character seem like an old hag, and that would turn off new readers... Joe, I love you as much as I love my own son, but that is total bullshit, and you know it. You may be wondering, what happened last time? Well, Ezeki...

Papa Eddie's bedtime story.

Hey kids! Time for the bedtime story, today we're reading about our favorite character, Spider-Man Well, let's have a look at this little story. Just let me tuck you in. Okay, ready? Well, let's begin. Our first character is Spider-Man, aka Peter Parker, he is a nice young boy with the powers of a spider. Spidey has a wife by the name of Mary Jane, she is a pretty girl that enjoys acting in plays. May is Spider-Man's aunt, she likes taking care of Spidey. The Green Goblin is an evil meanie that constantly annoys Spidey with his evil plots to take over the world. Gwen Stacy is a former friend of Spider-Man who unfortunately... Uh... How do I put this... Well, she moved to a different country and cannot see Spider-Man anymore :( Gabriel and Sarah are brother and sister, pretty much inseparable, and they want to talk to Spidey. During breakfast at Aunt May's house, Peter is really sad because he can't see his friend Gwen anymore, so, with a bit of empathy, Gabriel ...

The Sins Past Prelude.

Originally reviewed on Wix back on January 29th, 2023. Gwendolyn Stacy was a character from the Amazing Spider-Man comic series, she first appeared in issue... I don't remember, but it was a Ditko issue. She was gorgeous, she was charming, she was perfect in every way. For a while, she was Spider-Man's girlfriend. Oh, and I suppose Mary Jane was there too. Spider-Man's biggest enemy of all time is the Green Goblin, aka Norman Osborn, a scientist CEO dude that had a little lab accident and now has another personality that thinks about nothing but mischief. Little problems that were presented in the series prior to this issue: Green Goblin knows Spider-Man's secret identity and everyone he loves, meaning that he can attack anyone at any point to hurt Spider-Man's feelings. Gwen Stacy does not like Spider-Man, I don't think she ever did, and she really started to HATE him because she believed that it was Spider-Man who murdered her father, George Stacy. The behind-...

The Show Must Go On.

Image
Look at me, looking at 60's Spidey. Oh, and then 2000's Spidey. Why don't I look at something more modern? Something that was released... 2 years ago? Well, let's have a look at The Amazing Spider-Man (vol. 6) Once again. I mean, it's appropriate, we're on vol. 7, and scarily close to issue 1000. First of all, a little context for a little detail in the story: Spidey is wearing a suit that was made by Norman Osborn, it sort of resembles the suit from the All-New, All Different era. It has all sorts of fairly cool gadgets... But it doesn't sit right with me, why is Spider-Man wearing a suit that was made by his worst enemy? Odd. LAST ISH: The Amazing Spider-Man (vol. 6) #26 was... Less than amazing. Peter and like 700 other guys fought Rabin, and it cost the life of Ms. Marvel. I wasn't very thrilled reading it. Now, of course, that wasn't my last Spider-Man comic, as I managed to pick up issues 21 and 22 from Panini's Spanish translation, which c...

From The Archives: A Normal Game Review.

Image
Originally posted on October 4th, 2024. This is gonna be a normal review for a normal game, none of that weird stuff. The game i'm gonna be reviewing is Spider-Man for the Atari 2600. This is a fairly normal box art that depicts what we can expect from the game in question, Spider-man plummeting towards his doom after getting his web cut off by the Green Goblin. This game was developed by Parker Brothers in 1982, one year before the Great Video Game Crash. This was the first ever Spider-Man video game and the first ever video game to be inspired by a Marvel Comics character.  Believe it or not, the main character of this game is none other than Spider-Man himself, what a shock. The player controls ol' Spidey, who is trying to defuse a bomb that has been put up by the Green Goblin, you get to the top of a building by shooting your webs, because you can't just crawl on the walls, where's the fun in that?  There needs to be more challenge in this game, and that is exactly ...

NFTA: The Amazing Spider-Man #14

Image
I have no jokes for this one. It's the first appearance of what many consider to be Spider-Man's most iconic villain, and the one that has caused the webslinger to suffer the most... Other than the time Doc Ock killed Spidey, but that's besides the point, this is the first appearance of Green Goblin, in the pages of Amazing Spider-Man #14. by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Originally, the Green Goblin was supposed to be a weird sorta ancient creature that escaped and started attacking Spider-Man, but then it was changed to just a crazy guy in a costume. There is so much shit going on in this cover, Spidey is clinging to the top of a cave, while Green Goblin is about to touch Spidey's balls with his amazing flaming hand, and the Enforcers are cheering him on. You see that blue box with red borders? You see what it says? THE HULK is guest-starring in this issue, OH BOY! My 2nd favorite Marvel character! Watch out! He's about to punch the reader! Funny little tidbit of info...
