LAST TIME: Doc Ock made new arms and used them to beat the shit out of Spider-Man and Gold Goblin.  The Amazing Spider-Man (vol. 6) #29 and 30. Written by Zeb Wells and Ed McGuinness.  Well, judging by the cover, ANYTHING could happen in this issue, but it's most likely gonna feature Spider-Man.  And so, it does. The issue begins with ol' Spidey waking up to find himself being carried by J. Jonah Jameson and Doc Ock's robotic arms in a splash page that imitates a better comic that I wish I were reading instead of this shit. (Amazing Fantasy #15, from all the way back in 1962). Ock has taken Norman to a place where he can regain his memories of being the Green Goblin while also showing moments from comics that I wish I were reading instead of this shit. (Superior Spider-Man's Goblin Nation arc...*) *Sidenote: Why was issue 31 the series finale if there were 2 issues afterwards? We'll get to that eventually.  Back with JJJ and Spidey, they are debating about how they...

C'mon, Edward, you reviewed 10 issues in one post, and soon you'll be doing 43 issues in one post, just have a look at 6 in one... This one has no "Little Edward" backstory other than Little Eddie stumbling upon this trade when he was looking for Spider-Man stuff on the Internet Archive when he was 12. I added it to favorites and proceeded to NOT read it.  Years later, old and mature (and tall) Edward got issues 41 and 42 for Christmas. Oh, and then I got Marvel Unlimited! So, I should be able to review the rest of the JMS run. This is Amazing Spider-Man (vol. 2) #40, by J. Michael Straczynski and John Romita Jr. There is a small gap in my collection, I have issues 30-39, and issues 41-42, this one has always intrigued me... No, it started intriguing me right about now because I have never read it, I have never heard anyone talk about it and frankly, I want to be the first to do so!  Oh, I guess I should talk about the cover, this one was drawn by Jason Pearson, who w...

Look at me, looking at 60's Spidey. Oh, and then 2000's Spidey. Why don't I look at something more modern? Something that was released... 2 years ago? Well, let's have a look at The Amazing Spider-Man (vol. 6) Once again. I mean, it's appropriate, we're on vol. 7, and scarily close to issue 1000. First of all, a little context for a little detail in the story: Spidey is wearing a suit that was made by Norman Osborn, it sort of resembles the suit from the All-New, All Different era. It has all sorts of fairly cool gadgets... But it doesn't sit right with me, why is Spider-Man wearing a suit that was made by his worst enemy? Odd. LAST ISH: The Amazing Spider-Man (vol. 6) #26 was... Less than amazing. Peter and like 700 other guys fought Rabin, and it cost the life of Ms. Marvel. I wasn't very thrilled reading it. Now, of course, that wasn't my last Spider-Man comic, as I managed to pick up issues 21 and 22 from Panini's Spanish translation, which c...

The Follow-Up Everyone's Been Waiting For...

Waaaaaayyyy back in 2023, I reviewed Amazing Fantasy #15. It was a good review... Well, the second time I reviewed it, anyway. Well, now it's time to look at the first 3 issues of The Amazing Spider-Man (vol. 1). Spider-Man's first story was a huge success, everyone wanted to see more of this character, Marvel's then editor Martin Goodman entered Stan Lee's office saying "Stan! Don't you remember that Spider-Man character we both liked so much? Why don't we give him his own series!" Though true cool Spider-Man fans would know that Martin HATED the idea of Spider-Man, and he only started liking it after he started seeing cash from it. Anyway, they had already made stories for Amazing Fantasy 16, 17, 18 and 19, but since the series was canceled, they reused them for issues 1 and 2 of a brand-new series titled... You know what it's called.  But before we get to the review, let's talk about the Marvel Method because I don't know when I'm go...

I reviewed the other issues on twitter but it's probably going to shut down, so here are some of my last spider-man reviews COMIC REVIEW: The Amazing Spider-Man #2: classic comic book, 9/10 funny bird guy COMIC REVIEW: The Amazing Spider-Man #1: This comic is a classic, it's great, 10/10 COMIC REVIEW: Amazing Fantasy #15: this spider-man story was good; 10/10 they should make more spider-man comics. And now.... The Amazing Spider-Man #3 This issue features the first appearance of Dr. Octopus, a crazy mad scientist that has 4 robotic arms, and Spider-Man has to stop him! the story by Stan Lee is an exciting story with lots of action and drama, it also features a cameo by Johnny Storm (The Human Torch) who gives an inspiring talk about never giving up. The art by Steve Ditko is fantastic, he is one of the best Spider-Man artists, he draws spider-man in such a cool, superhero kind of way. This comic is great, 9/10 Spide...
