In 1963 Marvel Comics gave the rights to publish stories of their characters to a publisher in Mexico called La Prensa, they were able to print the stories of Hulk, Captain America, The Avengers, the Ant-Man and the Wasp, The X-Men, Iron Man, Daredevil, The Fantastic Four and of course, The Amazing Spider-Man, these comics were sold in many places, like Mexico, Peru, and other countries (I could only find those two) and they had translations of the original stories, however, Marvel allowed them to create original stories with original artwork, the art for the original comics was made by José Luis Gonzalez Duran, who also drew the art for the daily newspaper comic strip.

Today i am gonna review one of these stories

This is the cover for El Sorprendente Hombre Araña #153, which used to be $1.50 Mexican pesos back in 1973.


The Story is actually really good, it features Spider-Man going to Europe to stop a tyrant, a bunch of knights beat the shit out of Spidey, but Spider-Man manages to stop the tyrant and his rebellion and then just goes back to new york.


The art by Jose Luis Duran is really good, but some of the panels are traced from other Spider-Man comic books, but i do like how he draws Spider-Man and other marvel characters.



This is a great book, 9/10.


It would be really cool to actually find a copy... Maybe someday i will go to a convention and find one of these comics.

Reviewing things I haven't seen!

That new Spider-Man TV show just came out, but I don't have Disney+, everyone's talking about it and I don't want to be an outcast, so I'm gonna do the ballsiest thing ever, I'm gonna lose my credibility as a reviewer! I bet the other review sites are gonna be so proud of me... Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, written by Jeff Trammel and directed by Mel Zwyer, a show inspired by the comic book titled "Spider-Man", and also a little bit inspired by the MCU films featuring "Spider-Man", it was announced somewhere around 2022, and the first 2 episodes were released yesterday. The End of Gwenpool Strikes Back. (Review)

It's finally time to finish this comic. Believe it or not, i didn't know this comic only had 5 issues until i bought them all on the Marvel Comics App before it died (I still won't forgive them), all this time I thought the other issues were just not on the app, then I looked at the website and nope, 5 issues, this really was the end for Gwenpool, sure, she had guest appearances every now and then, but this was her last comic that was actually about her... Or at least until Love Unlimited issues #43-48 (2023) dropped. Since this is the end of an era, i shall now point out many things i missed and things that i should've brought up in the past reviews. ISSUE 1. On page 26, Gwen kindly asks the readers to go back to page 19, which could mean that either the comic thinks that the readers have some sort of short-term memory loss, or it could mean that the comic wants us to read in an endless loop until we either go insane or die.
