Spider-Plush No More!
Calm down, shithead, I'm not leaving you.
I'm just here to tell you what I'm gonna do. Guess what, I am dropping the Spider-Plush persona, in fact, I've already done it, and you didn't notice, you're so foolish.
Wanna know why? Well, here is my manifesto:
Lookie here people, listen to my story, a little story about a man named Ed...
One October night, in 2020, I came up with this username because I thought it would go viral, and I would get paid or some shit. I was 13 and young and stupid and that username was as silly as it could get, but I eventually got used to it because since everyone now knew me as Spider-Plush, and I didn't want anyone to NOT recognize me... But then I realized "Hey, Spider-Plush, you don't post pictures of yourself, you don't record videos of yourself, you don't share your voice, the least you can do is share your NAME, you don't want to be completely anonymous!" so I eventually revealed my name to everyone.
I also felt a little bit tired of everyone recognizing me as the plushies guy, I wanna be known for other things! I wanna be known as the guy that wrote the best reviews ever!
Here are a multitude of reasons why I'm dropping this username:
- At school, some foolish kids are always calling me Spider-Man or Peter Parker and I've kinda built an intolerance to that. There's also some kid that kept joking about me "fucking my plushies", and I didn't really like that joke. You can call me fat, ugly, smelly, stupid, creepy, pathetic or anything but you can't say I fuck my plushies, c'mon. This joke and insult is pretty much what made me stop trying to collect plushies and instead focus on comic books.
- I really didn't want to confuse people seeing as there's two twitters named "Daily Spider-Plush" and "Spider-Plush".
- I am NOT a one trick pony, I can do more than just talk about toys on the internet, I mean, look at me now! Writing memoirs! I also sucked at talking about toys, why would I wanna be known as a toy expert when I'm not?
- I used to try and make Spider-Plush some sort of brand, but then I realized that was NOT the direction that I wanted to go and now I just have it as some old ancient username.
- When Across The Spider-Verse released, I saw a lot of people with their own Spider-Plush accounts... And since I wanna stand out in the Spidey fanbase, I decided to scrap the name.
- Spider-Plush is a stupid ass name, why would I want to keep it?
Which is why I am scrapping the username... For the most part. I'm keeping the site name, keeping my Twitter handles and usernames the same, and I will still keep the Spider-Plush name in some places, I just want people to recognize me as Eddie.
