Spider-Man's WILD Birthday

Happy Birthday Peter Parker!

In The Amazing Spider-Man #500, our wonderful Amazing Spectacular Petey Parkson goes through time while doing a team up with Doctor Strange. JMS wrote this story and I have lot of respect for the dude and his run. I also feel like more adaptations should take aspects from his run. Yes, I am aware that Eddie did an article on this issue as well, but I felt like it would be fun to give my short thoughts on it.

This story is GREAT! We see Peter look back at and see some of his past adventures and how he's grown from them. This includes his encounters with villains like Electro, Sandman, and Lizard, the death of Gwen Stacy, that one encounter with Hulk in a cave (weird that was the issue where Goblin first appeared), and all the way back to when he first got bit by the spider!

We also got to see a future where he's older and still fighting as Spider-Man. The Last Stand suit is pretty neat tbh I should wear it for Halloween.

I put the Tobey image for funsies, don't question me…

He also has a talk with Uncle Ben and if anything, else doesn't show how much he's grown, that scene did. Uncle Ben expresses how proud he is of Peter and that he should appreciate what he has in life more. Yeah, he goes through crap everyday like the typical Parker luck, but he still lives on and persevere at the end of the day to continue being Spider-Man and saving his city and caring for his loved ones.

We then see Peter celebrate his birthday (that he forgot) with MJ and Aunt May. This issue is beautiful, and it reminds me of why I love this character so much.

10/10 Donuts!

Editor's note: I'm pretty sure Camden's next review will be some Flash comic.
